ABOUT ILONA:  Her love for magazines, stories and pictures, it all began in 1994 when she started her career at Marie Claire. After 5 years it was time to move on. Yes, Libelle and JAN would follow. Since 2010 Ilona works freelance as a stylist, creative director and she creates storytelling concepts and pictures for magazines and other companies. She loves green projects, moving around with furniture, writing stories and she dreams about slow living in France…

P.S.  Meanwhile, Ilona is developing herself as a garden designer. After her studie at OntwerpAcademie she did an internship at Studio May & June and together with the team she has developed a new garden magazine. Her love for green has always been there since she was a little girl and together with her years of experience as a stylist and creative director her designs are translating into gardens that not only meets the wishes but also suits the client.

P.P.S.  That dream Ilona had about slow living in France came true. In the summer of 2024 she and her husband found their dream house: La Maison Verte, an old farm in the South West of France. They are currently renovating the house and slowly turning a part of the big barn into a guest house that will be more like an artist-retreat-kind-of-stay. More about that later when it’s ready. While sourcing for the house Ilona found so many beautiful pieces, that keeping it all for themselves wasn’t an option. But why not share all these finds with others?
